MISSION
Aladin Child Care exists to provide a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. Our focus is to provide a stimulating early learning and care experience that promotes each child's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development in a non-sexist, non-judgemental atmosphere. Our goal is to support the child and family in their quest to attain their fullest potential.
HISTORY
Aladin was incorporated in 1984 as a not for profit childcare. It is a registered charity. It has grown to become a multisite childcare agency in Ottawa.
Aladin received funding in 1993 to acquire land and to construct a stand-alone building designed for the well-being of the children. The agency moved into the new building on Russell Rd. June 1995. We have expanded our kindergarten and school age programs at Pleasant Park school.
In August 2014, in partnership with the French Catholic school board, we opened a new site at Sainte-Anne school, at 235 Beausoleil Dr. There, we started to offer programs for Toddlers, Preschool, Kindergarten and School age children. In 2019, we started offering an expanded Preschool program. In 2020, we opened an Infant program. In 2022 we expanded and added a new French language program in Overbrook/Vanier, the du Rocher site, at 235 Donald St. with Infant, Toddler and Preschool programs.
GOVERNANCE
